Christina McCormick (Music Teacher)

My name is Christina McCormick, the owner and instructor of Bevien Music, LLC! I am a state certified music educator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Music Education from the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma. I have four years of experience teaching middle school and high school vocal music in inner-city public schools of various sizes, populations, and levels of diversity. I have also been involved in music ministry since 2014, leading children’s choir, VBS, and church worship for various local groups and organizations. These experiences have greatly shaped me to be the musician and educator that I am today.
I have been teaching music at Blissful Teachings since 2022. I have loved the opportunity to build a solid music foundation for early childhood students. Before students graduate into Kindergarten, they are able to identify and demonstrate the following musical elements: steady beat, meter (by grouping beats), high and low, presto and largo, forte and piano, instrument etiquette, solfege syllables, and so much more! Each week, I incorporate singing, movement, and music theory to give students a rich and in-depth music education. Students are often musically advanced for their age once they graduate from Blissful Teachings. A strong foundation in the basics of music education prepares our students to be able to read music, play instruments, and sing with proper vocal technique!
I enjoy creating curriculum, lessons, and activities that cater to specific music goals and immediate learning needs necessary to grow as a musician. No matter what level of experience you have with music, I am happy to offer my services to help you explore and build your musicianship! Whether learning for your own personal enjoyment or competitively to get to the next level, there is a place for you here. If you are looking for supplemental instruction to assist your participation in ensembles, performing groups, recording artistry, competitions, or auditions – I can cater your music lessons to meet your unique goals! I love being involved and collaborating with others in our community. I am excited to offer my services to help you and your ensembles grow in musicianship and be a resource for your music goals!
